Public Media Partnerships is collaborating with the National Forest Foundation on the Public Radio Forest initiative (PRF), the first national project of its kind.
More than 7,500 trees are to be planted in 2012 as a result. Revenue was generated at ten local stations including KPCC, KPLU, CPR, and WXPN.
PRF is based on research conducted from 2010-2011, with more than 1,600 public radio listeners around the country.
